It is now officially one year since the day of my Senior Portfolio Show, Re/Action held on Friday, April 30, 2010. Wow!

Looking back at the goals for this blog that were established on November 12, 2010, I have been able to properly construct not one but two online personas in the past 6 months, Samhain Moon and Mónica Laura. I will be introducing a third and final persona before the year is us by the name of László/LázLó, so stay tuned for that.

Keeping this blog running for six months now has been a real eye-opener in terms of content generation as well as social network integration and maintaining a community. While comments may seem stagnant on this blog, I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of readers that contact me to let me know they like the content. Sometimes they tell me that tarot seems really complicated... Ha! You're telling me! It feels good to get feedback on my efforts, although admittedly I have been a compulsive diarykeeper for a little over a year now.

I like Samhain Moon because it pushes me to stay curious. New content means new adventures that lead to new discoveries. Being a self-proclaimed nomad, this is naturally right up my alley! Staying productive and busy is one of the few ways to keep my mind at peace as of late.

I have a few things brewing for Samhain Moon... But I will be taking a hiatus for an undefined amount of time. I have found that some of my readers would prefer it if I posted on my blog more often. I don't think this will be happening anytime soon unless you guys send in some feedback of what you'd enjoy reading more about in here. If you have any ideas, please let me know at Thanks in advance, don't be shy!

It took me a few months to get used to life outside of college, returning to the tropics, and adjusting to the PR way of doing business... But wait, I'm still happy!

I dream up my goals and immediately set off running after them! Accomplishing them, however briefly, is still very satisfactory.

The pat year has been abundant in surprises as well as final lessons from college. I won two awards for my design, have worked with three prestigious design firms in Puerto Rico as well as numerous prestigious clients, have found my own voice in the world of art and design, and remain an independent student in terms of illustration and design.

For all those of you taking that crazy leap now, I encourage you to push forward and accomplish those goals as well as the dreams that you don't think you are ready to go after. If you are going through the freelance route, find a client that feels they won't prosper without your professional aid and invest time and effort into flourishing. It is well worth the wait, I promise.

A big thank you goes out to Samhain Moon readers that come back week after week seeking new content!
