SKETCHBOOK INTROSPECTION

PLANNING THE NEW YEAR:
I love planning. I love seeing my ideas come to life through the daily documentation of my thought process. This Pony Brown diary will be my day planner for 2012. Annual, monthly and daily deadlines are being set with enough leeway to give me room for other events. It pays to be organized! I will post pictures of my favorite spreads when I am done next December!

2011 SKETCHBOOK:
This is going to be a really personal post. I want to share my dreams, nightmares and visions with my blog readers. Some could call this a visual assessment of my experiences in the whole year of 2011. It’s strange because I am used to filling sketchbooks up every 3 to 6 months. Although I acknowledge that I am no longer as active as I used to be sketched, I still appreciate the documentation of a year through sketches. The Internet is getting a VIP look into my sketchbook for the first time ever. Enjoy!

The most characteristic sign in my assessment is the shift in consciousness that I had throughout the years. The sketchbook provides a visual exploration into the corners of the mind, emotions, ideas, and depictions of the metaphysical beings that I came in contact with.

A really big part about this sketchbook is the portrayal of my relationship with J. 2011 was our first year together, during which we explored each others deep layers. I see him through the eyes of the soul.

This portait stands in for a clear turning point in my life. After the night of my first trance, I began to explore the depths of my subconscious. This could be what many metaphysics call the Shadow side. This is when I began my journey to tame the ability of the third eye, and when I became aware that I was much more than just a clairvoyant graphic designer. I found other gifts that were untapped into and met a whole new side to myself.

BY OTHERS:
There are a few cameos in all of my sketchbooks! Part of what I love about the artist community is how we influence each other. It rocks to have amazing creative people in my life that believe in what I do and encourage me to do more. They rokk! I'm sure that you can identify people in your life that play the same role in your life. Why don't you go have a brainstorming session together?

This drawing was made on February 2011, by Niki López during my trip to California.

This drawing was made on September 2011.

What a lovely year 2011 has turned out to be! I will admit that it has been winding down a little aggressively, though. My personal convictions and goals have all been shaken up, now my view on life is different. I hope you'll accompany me on my new journey!
