ANNUAL REVIEW 2018

Here we are again, the close of the wheel. Samsara does its thing. The catharsis of losing body armor. Shields, spikes and poison gone. All gone!

Coming to the end of a cycle feels like getting out at a bus stop and standing out there in the open with your luggage. You brought only just enough for the ride, and you know that all that lies ahead is new. Nothing will be like anything you know now. Whether you move to a new city or some back from a long vacation, things feel different somehow. Life opens new chapters, and off we go. I am in this place currently. I’ve got no clue what lies ahead, but here I am diving face first into a new adventure. I am living with so much intensity, that it goes just as my lover states: Driving impossibly fast through the countryside without a seat belt on and a wide smile on my face. Danger doesn’t scare me, I’m fucking fearless now.

Watching others change is easy, you’re already on the outside and you can understand what they are going through if you are attentive enough. But you don’t have the same luxury with yourself unless you are very thorough with a mirror or you record yourself regularly. I don’t do either of these things, so I often miss the transition from one point to another. What happens is that I get reacquainted with myself once I have already changed. By then, there’s no going back.

Can I just say though how stoked I am for 2018? The wheel has been reset and new things are coming. I’ve bid my dues. Goodbye.

Ever since things have taken a turn for the better, I’ve been injected with a refreshing sense of zest for life and adventure. A last hurrah of sorts, if you will.

Feeling energized and called back to days of adventure, in which the course is figured out as we go along more so than by having been outlined already. This is new. For once I’m not defining the path where things will go. I define plans for adventures and bonding experiences, but where I go next will be decided as I am going from point A to point B. I’ve never been this new to life!

October. Ten of Cups.
And we’re off to a good start. My mood is better than it has been in years and I am actually looking forward to it. I’ve got so many plans for days of celebration, the month promises to be a turnt up one. Crowned by candles and drinks aplenty, hopefully in the company of my friends. This is my birthday month, a time to pause and count my blessings, thank my spirit court and prepare for messages from my ancestors. I am grateful to have reached this point, grateful to be well and to have reasons to smile.

November. Knight of Wands.
Burning through time, acting on impulse. This is the kind of adventure that isn’t thought over quite well enough but ends up being really passionate, possibly even full of unexpected surprises. Let your intuition be your guide as you rush through a path of fire and debris. Anything you zoom by, you do so with confidence. Traveling light, fast and invisible. Trailblazing.

Flirt game came strong this month! Pack the good nature and saucy smiles, it looks like you’re going to need them. You may find yourself facing passion so strong it smothers. Corruption is sweet.

December. Five of Coins.
After all the partying dies down, we are left with the space in need of cleaning up and getting organized. It’s okay to say no if you are tired, it’s okay to skip out on something big to have some quiet time at home. After all the ruckus, look to find your center. Replenish your resources. Make new plans later, for now just nurture and rest. You need it.

January. Page of Coins.
It’s a challenge to balance your light and your darkness, dayside self and nightside self. After you’ve rested and recuperated some, you’ll be ready for something new. Start to gather ideas, start to work more seriously on projects. Observe and learn. Keep an open mind. It’s possible you’ll have a new work venture. Full speed ahead!

February. Nine of Cups.
Joyful celebration. The heart’s desire/wishes coming true. Something good is happening, a reason to make announcements. This moment is important, so pay close attention to what happens then. Otherwise, continue to enjoy and to celebrate life. Rally all those that you love close to you and share your blessings with them.

March. Ten of Coins.
Making the home cozy. Feeling more at home, welcoming others to your home. A full house is a busy one. Maybe [finally] going back home after what could be a 6-7 month exile from my motherland. I'd like to visit before then, but you never know.

April. Five of Swords.
Annoying. There can’t always be peace and smiles. For this month, the best piece of advice is to hold back from your instinctual response. Think things through. Don’t act or speak without thinking. Ask yourself if it is necessary to participate or if any good will come of it. If the answer is no, turn your back and keep walking. You don’t have time for bullshit.

May. Queen of Wands.
Creativity, beauty without bounds. Use your paint brush as your magic wand, breathe life into concepts that have been gracing your dreams with color. Assume a position of charisma and goodnatured extroversion. Seek to bring people together with you at their center, entertaining them.

Cut through the drama, ignore any loudmouths causing you grief. Look through it all to their intentions, then ask yourself if you really want to participate or not.

June. Four of Cups.
Dreams, dreams, drinks. Have you found yourself dreaming and day dreaming for too long? What’s the use of that? How about you get up off your comfortable chair and go explore instead? Whenever feelings stagnate and you feel yourself being dragged back into a contented rut, break yourself out of that by forcing yourself back in motion. Try to avoid unnecessarily being dragged back into bitter reminders. Don’t make any hasty decisions.

July. The Lovers.
Lovers coming together. A connection so insane it feels like mind reading. Words meant only for one set of ears. Actions that penetrate right through you as if a shot gun had been fired right into your chest. I see you. I feel you. I love you.

Choices aren’t easy all the time. Often times you have to leave something else behind to assume the path of your new future, and that’s okay. Keep moving forward with the knowledge that it will be okay because you’re not alone. You have somebody backing you up and whispering kind words of love. Keep going.

August. Justice.
Cold truth does not yell over the others or overexert itself. Cold truth waits its turn to come out, and then it weighs what is and what is not. Is your heart heavy with burdens? Is it light? Decide. Trials are coming up ahead and you need to be ready to affront them. Proceed with confidence if your heart is light. Proceed with caution if you’ve got things to hide.

September. Eight of Cups.
Some things you have to walk away from with a heavy hear when there is no alternative. Give thanks for what nurtured your spirit and release that which only holds you back. In this life, change is always guaranteed. You can get with it or you can be dragged by it. It’s better if you cooperate though, because resistance generates pain. Don’t fall for that.

Clarifier. Ace of Coins. New opportunities. A period of growth is starting, as this card casts an aura of its influence over the next set of twelve months.

I don’t know if my newfound optimism is casting an unrealistic sheen of hope and joyfulness on my reading, but I am really hoping that it is in one way or another. This card draw has really excited me for the next year coming up! Now that I’ve got a whole new outlook on life, I want to get lost in the world and I wish to traverse new horizons. I am getting to know myself again as I get to know what’s out there, too.

It's going to be a crazy adventure for sure. Cheers, to a life lived with intensity.

ANNUAL REVIEW 2016

Last night was the new moon in my sign, and I lit a rainbow candle to celebrate. I also had a very intense cleansing bath, and I cleaned up my spiritual work tools. It was a great night, and for me the start of my new year. A new beginning! I am so excited!

The past year has equated to total burnout. How is this possible? I worked so hard to get to where I was, but when life has its surprises in store, there’s really not much else that can be done about the discomfort. Sometimes we just have to comply, and that is exactly what I have been doing.

This past year I avoided a smothering depression by what feels like luck or divine intervention. I’ve had so many moments in which I felt myself about to snap, and sometimes I think I even snapped for a few seconds before I was able to feel the self control that reason sustains. It’s easy to lose yourself when emotions run so high that they blind you. Feeling something that stirs deeply in you can really alter your perception and how you carry out your life.

I’ve always considered myself to be a progressive person. It was really hard for me when I realized that I needed to lean on others for support because of the amount of stress I was dealing with. It’s not easy dealing with more than one trauma sustained in a short time period. People that I swore would always be there started to flake on me, and the pain that came from that became greater when I realized that people I thought were never going to be there for me stepped in to help. It was a really big eye opener in how much of myself I give, give, give constantly. I never expected anything back from those people I surrendered to, but their lack of support in the time I have most needed it in my life hurt me so much. I had to reassess everything about my life and the way I am living it.

So that brings us here. We’re kicking off a new Annual Review, and with it the hopes of finding solace. Cards have been there for me since the start of our relationship. When I don’t understand something, they help me see things from a new perspective. Today they shed some light for me on a new chapter in my life, and I am really looking forward to see what new beginnings feel like after such a strong upheaval in my life. I’m ready for Life 2.0!

ANNUAL REVIEW

October. The World.
It’s no joke when you feel like a whole new cycle is beginning. Before you can proceed, there is always a test. One last challenge to see whether or not you’re ready for the next stage of your life. Even when you fall out of the cycle and it feels like you are free-falling down an abyss, know that you’re not the first. Many others have braved this same path before you and have found themselves with familiar sentiments. It’s honestly all just protocol. You have to experience things in full, and that includes seeing cycles come to an end before new ones begin. Ask anyone around you; they’ve gone through the same thing in their own time!

November. Two of Swords.
I blanked when I drew this card. I’ve read it so many times before, but its message doesn’t make sense to me right away. I feel like being out of touch comes more as the inevitable, more so than something I am looking to do. Often times when we are on a different wave than that of others, we can feel misunderstood, or as if the message isn’t getting across quite right. This isn’t a month to make any big decisions or to confront anyone. Rather, it is a passive month. Sometimes silence is better for you.

December. Seven of Cups.
The year can wind down in a drunken stupor, trying to figure out how to fit dreams into plans of action. When you don’t feel confident about the unknown, you tip toe forward hesitantly, trying to go around obstacles rather than through and into them.

It’s true. I don’t feel very sure about what is coming, I feel destabilized. Some of my plans have changed, and so have my creative projects. I still need to spend some time with myself to think about goals for the future to bring clarity to my confusion.

January. Six of Swords.
This card tapped me into a sense of time. New beginnings can be very slow, however they can also be eye-opening. Even if the confidence isn’t there, we keep moving forward. That’s something we are required to do while we live on this Earth to survive. So move forward I will, into a new me and into a new year. Just at a more steady pace.

February. King of Cups.
The card rings strongly of a person, but who will it be? This mystery man is a leader with strong, unyielding character and a benevolent heart. An unshakeable personality and mind, often translating to a stubborn one. Who could it be? C? H? Somebody new coming into my life? We’ll just have to see.

In terms of the self, it may have something to do with settling down or moving into a new house, rather than staying in an apartment.

March. The Chariot.
Once more, things are in motion. A turning point in life can make you decide between your logic and your heart, all while you are also dealing with the madness of real life all around. Sometimes we don’t get the time that we need and we are forced to rush forward with the strength of somebody who has the assurance that we don’t. It can get confusing, but we trust that our choices are final when we make them and that is what makes us assertive as people.

April. Knight of Coins.
In where March is full of movement and adventure, here we have something very different instead. We are forced to slow down and take it steady, which is definitely not one of my strong points. I am used to being on the go and moving forward. Constantly changing, like a nomadic gypsy. Ever trusting the cosmos to sustain my decisions. This month, what is most guaranteed is the need to take things slow. Pause, think, then act eventually.

May. Three of Cups.
How do you juggle your social life, close connections and your personal adventures that no one else gets to hear about? Does anybody know how to keep things in balance and discrete, but still fun and lighthearted? In life it feels like we are constantly juggling people — lovers, clients, debt collectors, family, friends, the self. This is a good month to keep things in harmony and to enjoy life. Celebrate every chance you get!

June. The Fool.
Embrace new beginnings. The start of summer is a good time to have an adventure on your own. Say yes to new experiences that help you see life in a new way. Take the risk, buy that amazing Wheels and Dollbaby outfit you’ve been oggling at for days. You owe it to yourself to make your life feel like there is something new waiting around the corner, each time.

July. King of Wands.
Stripped of its personal qualities, this card can show an impulsive nature that thrives on the idea of irresponsible yet passionate adventures. Having fun just for the enjoyment, and not necessarily because it’s what you need to do.

August. Ace of Coins.
A new gift or opportunity can manifest. Often times the increments are of a small scale, but impact our lives in a way that can be meaningful. Life has something new to offer in this month, and it will be interesting to found out what it is. Whatever new venture comes, I am ready for it.

September. Ace of Wands.
Fancy that! Coincidental and yet so interesting. Another Ace, another beginning. This brings passion into play, whether be temperamental or romantic. It brings the fire of creativity and of self-assurance. I am ready to tackle whatever obstacle comes my way, and it with any new experience available.

Clarifier. Two of Wands.
This year is based around choosing. Choosing one option over the other, but only when the time calls for it. Don’t jump the gun, don’t rush into anything now that you’re free of troubles. Lay low and try to go your own way. If someone or something tries to slow you down, have a preemptive mindset that will help you prepare to act quickly if the need comes.

YEAR IN REVIEW 2015

Its been such a wonderful year! The term 'soul searching' doesn't even even to cover it. I've gone through some intense personal transformations, and came out the other side feeling like an entirely new person. This year definitely had some big deal events and experiences the likes of which I will never forget. There were also many hardships and obstacles, some of which have been very hard for me to digest and get used to. No one prepares us for loss.

I wish that some of the people left behind in 2015 will resurface at some point in the future, but for now the best thing to do is perhaps to let go and allow time to do its thing. I had so many fall outs this year that it felt unnatural.

Anyhow, I am really looking forward to getting 2016 started. My resolutions revolve around personal development and quality control in living habits. Less drinking, some home improvement and definitely nurturing my needs.

(1) DESCRIBE 2015 IN THREE WORDS:
(A) INDEPENDENCE.
(B) EMOTIONS.
(C) FINANCIAL.

(2) WHICH CONCERTS DID YOU VISIT IN 2015?
Unwoman, Lee Presson and the Nails, Lustmord, De/Vision, Falling Skies x 3, Mortal Boy, Carved Souls, Dave Gahan + Soulsavers, Opeth, LA Morgue x 2,

Special Event: I went to a super secret pre-listening dinner party with IAMX, Gary Numan and members of Nine Inch Nails. You can read about it here.

(3) WHAT WERE YOUR THREE FAVORITE MOMENTS IN 2015?
(A) IAMX pre-listening dinner party. This night was really amazing. I had a fireworks going on inside when I realized Gary Numan was also there. To top it off there were many more musicians there that I admire, such as Nine Inch Nails members. Rennholdër, someone I used to mad fangirl over. I talked to everybody and ate some great food listening to some great music in an epic castle house. Candles, magic and Chris Corner all around. With two hugs to conclude the night!

(B) Goth clubbing in Japan. Enough said! Magic on legs.

(C) Seeing Dave Gahan in concert with Soulsavers.

(4) WHICH ONE WAS YOUR FAVORITE MONTH?
Tough! I think it was November.

(5) WHO WERE THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE OF 2015?

(6) HAVE YOU MADE PLANS FOR TRAVELING IN 2015?
I am looking to go to France, Prague, Japan, Louisiana (New Orleans), or Spain.

I love that I actually do make it to these places, even if it takes an extra year!

(7) BEST BOOK YOU READ IN 2014?
Oracle Alchemy. Ana Cortez is my favorite author. She has mentored me all throughout the year. I love reading anecdotes of moments spent with her father, who was a visionary and an enlightened man. Reading this book was a delightful look into her upbringing as a talented diviner.

I am really fond of the Playing Card Oracles system and looking to gain more experience with it. Hopefully my relationship with Ana Cortez will also continue to blossom. I am currently going through final examinations to earn my certification as a Playing Card Oracles reader.
(8) 5 MUSICIANS YOU LISTENED TO WAY TOO MUCH IN 2012:
DEPECHE MODE
IAMX
GARY NUMAN
LUSTMORD
DAVE GAHAN & SOULSAVERS

(9) WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2016?
Most of my dreams have come true. Very few are left in my list. I definitely want to get back into creative work of Illustration and Graphic Design. I want to go back to working on my tarot deck and illustration projects, and perhaps most importantly to keeping a sketchbook like I used to. It's so important for creatives to express themselves, and yet I've only chosen to do that through writing in the past few years. In reality it's because I've been trying to establish a routine that works for me, so those things I used to prioritize fell to the side. I thought about drawing almost every day, and could not see my life without color pencils and eraser shavings on my desk.

I am looking forward to getting back into nurturing my figure and my external appearance. While I got a lot done this year, I spent a lot of days working out of my pajamas with no make-up on. Definitely zoomed through my responsibilities, but felt like a servant girl while doing them. Even if I won't be dressing up every day, I will at least commit to take care of my image and to add new steps to my self-care routines.

Lastly, I want to commit to learning a new form of divination. This is a practice I do every year, but this year I've got no clue what to start with. It will be interesting to document that on my Youtube channel.

IN RETROSPECT,
This year was really important in my life. I decided to move in on my own and I amazed myself with how much money I could make to sustain myself and become completely financially independent. I learned the importance of budgeting and saving up. I also learned how strong I am in the face of sudden changes, since I moved from one apartment to another almost singularly. It is very rewarding to feel like I can provide for myself and my needs. It was like finally coming to accept and to see that I am a full grown adult.

I had a lot of fun also. It was great to have J visit me in Los Angeles. After listening to my stories for years, he got to experience it first hand and he got to meet my friends… and some celebrities. He finally understood what it is that makes me love LA so much.

I also decided that Los Angeles is my final resting place. I intend to grow roots here and to eventually buy myself a house. I am steadily making lasting relationships and learning the importance of treating yourself to new experiences.

A lot of things happened behind the curtain that I never wrote about publicly. Perhaps someday some of those things will come out to the public light as a positive experience.

A huge heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you that supported me this year and kept me company through this long, winding journey. I am here for you and hope you will reach out and keep in touch.

Thank you! Safe celebrations!

2015 ANNUAL REVIEW

2015 ANNUAL REVIEW
This past year was definitely a surprise to me. I did not expect to find myself in a new relationship. I did not expect to move, nor did I expect some of the wild changes that manifested that I had been warned about. Ever since moving to LA, I've been much more relaxed about planning ahead. Much of what I've been centering my attention around has actually been to enjoy my life. I've let go of that limited mindset that I had back when I lived someplace that was not ideal for me to be in. Now that I am out of that oppressive circumstance, I am actually so happy.

This past year I played it by ear. I didn't pay as much attention to my Annual Review 2014, but it actually foresaw me moving into my new apartment on my own. That was impressive!

With three Knights present in the spread, this sets the tone of the year to be a faster one in general. Things seem to be speeding up considerably, and I can attest to that. I also see two Threes, side by side. Working on the balance between personal life and work.

October. Judgment.
I’ve been heavily resonating with this card lately. I see it as a big call to action and an irreversible change manifesting. Some changes can be so extreme that they shake us to our core.

This is good! We don’t want to remain in the ams place forever. Sometimes all we need is a radical change to get us back in motion again. Bring that change!

November. Ten of Cups.
Emotional solace and accompaniment from those we love most. Embrace your blessings and be glad for what you have, because it is the best that there is for you. This card fills me up with gratitude for all the love I ever receive. It means so much to me when people show their caring nature and they give me affection. This month I’m also looking to give some back!

I’m seeing my Mom in November! We’re taking a trip back to Tokyo together, and I couldn’t be more excited!

December. Two of Cups.
Romantic. Two souls coming together, seeing one another reflected in the other. Bonding sometimes escapes human senses of perception and enlists those that we have but may not be fully aware about. It’s wonderful to have somebody to share the deepest aspects of your soul with, that understands you and loves you no matter what the two of you go through. True love!

January. Hanged Man.
After so much excitement, the start of year feels like a lull. I interpret this as trying to hang onto the past that is no longer there, only to feel it a little longer. We can’t always deny the future that is promised to us for our own personal needs. There are bigger things in the picture than we can see that are not always up to our control, but the best we can do is to trust.

February. Knight of Coins.
Settle down into this new year and new life gracefully. Seek out things for your space that make you feel cozy and at home. Look for the little details that brighten up your life and give you a sense of safety. Embrace all that you have, say thanks and carry on with all your plans.

March. Four of Wands.
This month is echoing the sentiment of the previous one, with making things feel more at home. Look to clean up and purify your space. Decorate it in a way that feels lavish and will make you want to have people over to accompany you.

April. The Chariot.
Taking a trip to another land can break away the sameness from being nesting for two months. Seek out the answers you wish to find and your own independence by moving forward at increasing speeds. Keep all your elements in harmony and under control, and you will find you’re not missing anything as you go.

May. Seven of Coins.
Are you going? Are you staying? You have options to consider. Take your time in pondering everything that is just out of your reach but will one day manifest itself as a need for you to take action. When you see things coming, you are much more prepared to tackle them.

June. Three of Cups.
Rejoice! Things are coming together. Embrace the friends that support you in your journey and look to enjoy special moments with them. Seek to make your life pleasant and simple, and delegate those things that no longer make you happy. You don’t need them.

July. Three of Coins.
After the celebration comes the time to get back to work. Bring out the materials that have been in slumber for way too long and seek out ways to make your process less tedious. The goal is to knock a few things off your to-do list. Work, dammit!

August. Page of Wands.
Enthusiasm, passion and creativity unlocked from the depths of within. Look for the things that keep you inspired and that spark your enthusiasm for life. If you’ve had too much of the same lately, break away from the routine and try something new. Chances are that was all that you needed!

September. Knight of Cups.
An intense proposal comes your way, knocking you out of the water with surprise. Embrace the love you are given and give it back with the same amounts of intensity. Learn to show through actions and through how you live your life just how much you are capable of sharing your love.

Clarifier. The Devil.
Oh my! This card is giving the year a naughty spin with so much romance being present. To me this is also a sign I will be working on limitations from the past that haven’t allowed me to move forward in whatever area of my life they are present. It’s a sure sign to break the chains and fight for my freedom from oppression. I’m not a big fan of being stuck for long.

(1) DESCRIBE 2012 IN THREE WORDS:
(A) DEATH.
(B) FALLOUTS.
(C) LESSONS.

(2) WHICH CONCERTS DID YOU VISIT IN 2014?
Abney Park, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Combichrist x 2, Suicide Commando, Crosses, Dawn of Ashes, Ginger V, Carved Souls, De/Vision, Julien-K, Urilia x 3, The Birthday Massacre, and New Years Day.

Wow, those are really very many concerts. Considerably more than the past five years!

(3) WHAT WERE YOUR THREE FAVORITE MOMENTS IN 2014?

(A) Working on board the Queen Mary and seeing Abney Park live. Meeting Abney Park, hanging out with them and getting things signed by them.
(B) The trip to the Dominican Republic with my Mom. We had so much fun!
(C) IAMX night. MAGIC! WOW!

(4) WHICH ONE WAS YOUR FAVORITE MONTH?
That’s always a tough decision for me to take given there has been so, so much growth in store for me this year. It was a very hard year, particularly because of all the losses. Saying goodbye to people isn’t easy for me, and I have to face a lot of sudden departures.

I really loved August. Went someplace I've never been to before, in the company of my Mom, who happens to be one of my favorite people on the planet. She rocks! We had a lot of fun getting drunk at the bar and feasting off the most delectable delights.

(5) WHO WERE THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE OF 2014?
ROGER: When I first met him in person, I wasn’t exactly nice to him, but he persisted with a good face. He never turned on me or resented the fact I did all that was possible to push him away from me. We’ve been through a lot together, which has inevitably brought us closer and demolished the defensive barriers we both placed to keep one another out. I feel like the story of how we met is a bit of a comedy and I have a hard time taking it seriously. Just one of those people you don't recognize to be a huge, waving red flag. I wish I'd have seen it coming.

J: Of course. How not? This sweet angel of a man has always been there, in the laughter and through all of the tantrums. He reads me so well. We don't even need to talk for him to know what I am thinking. He is worth his weight in gold, and I only wish that we could be sharing the adventures face to face as we used to. We understand one another and we support one another unconditionally. You don't find people like this all the time. He is everything to me, and I could never see my life without him. My Mom loves him, my Grandfather raves about how wonderful he is, and about how badly he wants J to remain in my life. He has a spark to him that attracts people to his life, makes them love him madly, and keeps them around for the laughs. J is real, he is all that is good, and he is the closest person to me to this day. What an honor to have you! Please don't ever leave.

♡ ADAM: Oh my! I did not expect this relationship to come into my life, but it did and I am so thankful! Adam is very caring and he is the life of the party. He loves to live his life, and he loves making memories with people. I think he brings people together, and I think he’s also very positive. I like that he’s a good listener and he’s always willing to accommodate others. Its been almost a year since he came, and since then I have learned that there are good-natured people out there. He is a terrific listener, and he is very real. I love his authenticity. I love Adam!

CRYSTAL: Sweet, sweet Crystal! The Queen Bee of the club, mommy-to-be and seriously gorgeous girl. She turns heads and she drives the boys crazy. I feel like I am part of her family. She just took me in one day, and after that we never separated. I've learned to open up to people because of her. In turn, she has taught me some of the tough experiences you can encounter in Los Angeles. She's my guiding light!

(6) HAVE YOU MADE PLANS FOR TRAVELING IN 2015?
This year I’m making it back to Japan without doubt. I can’t stand another year not being in my most favorite place on Earth!

I will also be back in Puerto Rico at some point this year.

(7) BEST BOOK YOU READ IN 2014?
The Playing Card Oracles. I started dissecting it in January and went all the way up to November before I finished it. Its been a very enlightening read, crammed with information. I would put it down every now and then and months would go by, but then I would pick it up and get immersed back into it.
It inspired me to pursue a professional certification to read playing cards as an oracle. I am taking the courses with Ana Cortez, author of the Playing Card Oracles. So excited!

(8) 5 MUSICIANS YOU LISTENED TO WAY TOO MUCH IN 2014:

DEPECHE MODE
ABNEY PARK
IAMX
BLUTENGEL
AND ONE

(9) WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2015?
I need to make my way back to Tokyo. My soul is begging me to find my way back to the most magical city on Earth.

I am also looking forward to getting my own place and to getting my car situation sorted out. If you didn’t already know, there is no chance I will ever be moving back to Puerto Rico. By choice.

Lastly, I am looking forward to selling stragglers from my tarot card collection. Also, to enjoy the jewels that I have. Some of these decks are hard to find, and only being kept because I resonate so much with them.

I would like to update my lists and offer more variety on my blog. We might be giving Hello Witches a rest for a while and focusing on other divinatory practices that branch out from the tarot cards. Tea leaves, oracle cards, playing cards, and so on. Are you in?

IN RETROSPECT,
I am currently very happy with the life that I live in Los Angeles, and to go anywhere else would be to deny my spirit what is good for it. I have learned so much about myself and the life I want to live within just one year of living here. I realized that I am still growing and progressing as a person. Even though I cannot see the progress as evident as when I was in college, I can still see something changing in myself.

First and foremost, I have never ever before been this positive. My body image self-esteem are all very healthy—the best they’ve ever been—as a result, I’m much more happy and willing to share the love with others as well. Because I am happy, I notice that the people I tend to gravitate towards are happy as well. In an unspoken call for entries, being the best possible expression of myself has attracted others with very similar mindsets. The result is a group of people that love each other and celebrate life together.

I have learned to live with a lot of things that I never thought I would accept, even people that I previously could not stomach. I feel like the more experience I gain, the more tolerant and accepting I am of others. It doesn’t mean that I do not prefer to spend time with people that have similar interests, though. Tarot readers and gothic people are still my favorite crowd.

LESSONS LEARNED:
Love in abundance.
Always have a goal. Or several.
Invest effort in looking nice.
Don’t let anyone step on you.
Tell your friends you love them.
Let go of friends that show you they don’t love you.
Work hard.
Feed your creativity.
Stand up for yourself. Always.
Pamper yourself.
Share your opinions.
Spread love, and don’t watch who it goes to.

Thanks for all the lessons, 2014! It’s time to put you to rest because there is a whole new year coming up!
